What Kind of Homes Are on Hutchinson Island?

Most of the island is condos along A1A, from small low-rise buildings to oceanfront towers. Martin County limits buildings to four stories, so the tallest condo buildings are on the St. Lucie County side. There are also gated communities like Sailfish Point and Ocean Village, resort condos at Indian River Plantation, and a smaller number of single-family homes. Outside Fort Pierce, many roads on the island are private and maintained by the community associations.
