Vero Beach
Vero Beach Neighborhoods
Island or mainland?
The barrier island side covers neighborhoods like Central Beach, Riomar and Castaway Cove, close to the shops and restaurants on Ocean Drive. Most homes here are older and closer to the water, and many sit in higher flood zones, so insurance is part of the conversation from day one.
The mainland offers more space for the money. You'll find gated golf communities, established neighborhoods with larger lots and newer construction west of I-95. Most mainland buyers are still 15 minutes or less from the beach.
